This beautiful home on James Island, Charleston, SC, 29412 was re-sided with James Hardie siding, ColorPlus AQUA MARINE, Cedarmill Textured Lap Siding, and ARCTIC WHITE Hardie Trim and Beaded Ceiling Panel. We also installed a Hardie Board and Batten facade on the front porch gable, a Simonton Brand StormBreaker Plus 300VL Window in the master bath, and re-roofed the home with Owens Corning True Definition Duration Architectural Shingles – ESTATE GRAY.
Project Summary
Because of our commitment to quality, our competitive pricing, and the fact that we are very visible and have done many jobs in the area, we were selected to perform an exterior renovation on this home on James Island. We replaced old vinyl siding with James Hardie Fiber-Cement Building Products. We installed ColorPlus AQUA MARINE Cedarmill Textured 6″ Lap Siding and ColorPlus ARCTIC WHITE Trim and Beaded Ceiling Panel on the front porch ceiling. We installed the siding on a 6″ lap because it gives a busier look to the siding on the home and we wanted to achieve a greater wind rating with the installation. The 6″ lap instead of the standard 7″ allows us to drop the “blind nails” down and additional 1″ which helps to bind the lap siding to the wall. It also gives a nice tight appearance and a busier look because the spacing between laps is less.
We also installed a Simonton StormBreaker Plus 300VL Window in the master bath, and re-roofed the home with Owens Corning True Definition Duration Architectural Shingles – ESTATE GRAY
