The Wrights needed to re-roof their home and so they received estimates from five different roofing contractors. Before we installed the new shingles, we completely stripped off the old shingles and roofing paper. This allowed us to thoroughly inspect the roof decking. There were several areas where the roof decking needed to be replaced. We then installed DeWitt’s Lite N’ Smooth ice/water shield on the entire roof instead of roofing paper in order to give the home greater protection in the event of a hurricane or tropical storm. The shingles were installed using a 6-nail per shingle application which gives the roof a wind warranty protection of 130MPH.
